Bonnie and I flew down to Los Angeles for the 2016 International Route 66 Festival hosted and organized by Scott Piotrowski. The venue took place on Route 66 in the Historic Broadway Theatre District. Many of the original theatres are being restored. We were lucky to have personal tours of many of them. This was more of a Conference than a Festival. The speakers were great. The venue was excellent. Many Route 66 Roadies attended the conference and or met in Pasadena at the Saga Motel. Everyone got together one night for dinner and it was like a family reunion.
Bonnie and I returned to Vancouver by Amtrak. A wonderful 2 day trip with spectacular scenery.
We are looking forward to the next big festival in Shamrock, TX in 2018. See you there.
